Has the speed to push for all-conference honors in his initial campaign and perhaps play a significant role on the Cougar relays ... Excels in the 400-meters but is strong in the 100� and 200-meters as well ... Has a good future ahead of him as he becomes accustomed to college-level training and conditioning.
HIGH SCHOOL: Ran 4 seasons of track & field for Head Coach Brandon Back at state power La Cueva High in Albuquerque, N.M. ... As a 2010 senior was the district champion in the 200- (22.43) and 400-meters (50.06, the third fastest time in the state during the season) ... Advanced to the state 5A finals of the 400, finishing seventh with a 50.96 ... Also ran the second leg of La Cueva�s 4x200-meter relay that finished second ... Helped lead the Bears to the district championship and a second-place finish at the state meet ... As a 2008 sophomore, ran the opening leg on the La Cueva�s school-record 4x400-meter relay (3:19.21) ... Was the Albuquerque freshman city champ in the 300-meter hurdles in 2007 ... Also ran one season of cross country ... Played 2 seasons of football for the Bears as a wide receiver and safety.
