Nicole Warwick, a graduate student-athlete at Azusa Pacific University, won Group A of the women's heptathlon with a lifetime-best 5,927 points to triumph at the Bryan Clay Invitational at her home Cougar Stadium in Azusa, Calif. Warwick elevated to the No. 3 all-time NCAA Division 2 competitor, winning the 100-meter hurdles in 13.29 seconds, the 200 meters in 23.86 seconds and the long jump with a leap of 20-9 (6.32m) to rally from a nine-point deficit following five events to secure the victory against three-time Division 2 heptathlon champion and No. 5 in division history Cheyenne Nesbitt of Saginaw Valley State University.
